The 2nd last day of the year 2022 has been especially important to Charnock hospital. That day a 51-year-old male patient who happened to be brain dead in Medica hospital donated his organs and saved the lives of at least 5 persons and improved 2 more lives. One of the lucky recipients of the kidney is a 55-year-old female chronic kidney disease patient on Maintenance Haemodialysis in Charnock hospital. The transplant team from Charnock hospital retrieved the kidney late at night and the Transplant operation was carried out throughout the night till early morning of the 31st December 2022. Salute to the dedication of the whole team (Dr M.C. Seal, Dr Ranjan De, Dr Jibon Basak, Dr Jahar Banerjee, Dr Jayanta Dutta, Dr Piyali Sarkar, Dr Sougata Hui) for making this wonderful thing happen.
